Audrey Langlasse

Born and bred in France, Audrey has lived in England, Wales and now Glasgow, Scotland since 2002. Passionate about the English language, she obtained an MA in English literature from the Sorbonne University (Paris IV) and a teacher training qualification. After first teaching English in France, then French in Britain, she passed the Chartered Institute of Linguists Diploma in Translation and reinvented herself as a freelance translator and transcreator.

Audrey has experience translating in a wide range of fields, including advertising, art, culture, education, environment, food and drink, international development, human rights, peacebuilding and rural and sustainable development. As a qualified member of both the Institute of Translation and Interpreting and the CIoL, she has taken full advantage of their training and networking opportunities and built herself a strong network of like-minded colleagues.

After 14 years of freelancing, she felt it was time for a change. Eager to experience team life and to broaden her horizons with more technical subjects, she joined Zeitgeist in April 2021.
In her spare time, Audrey tries to make the most of the vibrant cultural life in Glasgow and Edinburgh, enjoying the various film, theatre, dance and jazz festivals as well as the plethora of museums. A true foodie, she also loves baking and cooking with her daughters.
